Can cleaning plans be updated if my floor layout changes?

Definitely. The dealer or a trained end-user can use one of two methods to update the cleaning plans: ● LionsBot proprietary desktop application Map Editor: A tool for creating and adjusting any new cleaning plans of a worksite map. Whenever a worksite map is finalized, the end-user can simply upload the map to their robot. ● Touchscreen MapEditor: The map can be amended on the spot with robot's touchscreen MapEditor. For layouts that undergo major changes, we are able to use the robot to create a new map and update the cleaning paths and zones with the help of the dealer or the LionsBot support team. Otherwise, the robot will automatically take note of minor changes and adapt accordingly during regular operations.

Could someone tamper with the robot's hardware?

Although our robots support fully-automated cleaning, we recommend having a local operator supervising as it cleans. This is to mitigate the risk of malicious acts made possible by unrestricted access to the robot and specific tools to access and tamper with internal hardware (moving sensors, cutting wires, and so on).

Where is the data captured by the robot stored?

Our robots capture real-time telemetry data and operation performance data and sync them to the cloud for data analytics and report generation. Data from in-depth sensors and video logging processes are logged and stored on robot's internal hard-drives, the blackbox. Blackbox data is only recovered for auditing purposes, where they serve as activity evidence. However, we are happy to discuss alternative options, if necessary, to conform with corporate IT policies or regional regulatory requirements.

Is a Wi-Fi connection a mandatory requirement?

No. Our robots can operate on 3G, 4G LTE, or WiFi networks, and, depending on the robot, in both online and offline mode. In offline mode, users can deploy our robots to clean via the touchscreen interface with user authentication. In online mode, users enjoy features such as the following: ● Sending the robot on cleaning mission remotely via the LionsClean app ● Robot mission notifications ● Remote monitoring via the dashboard ● Reports for cleaning usage

What safety features does the robot have?

Our robots are designed with software-based and hardware-based safety features. Depending on the robot, software-based safety features include automotive-grade 3D LiDAR, 2D LiDAR, sonars, and depth cameras to achieve 360-degree visibility. With LionsBot's proprietary AI computer vision model, we can detect obstacles and human movement and avoid them or stop altogether. When the robot perceives it unsafe to proceed in its current surrounding, it will pause cleaning operations. It will autonomously resume operations afterwards when it determines it safe to do so. Hardware-based safety features include an emergency stop button, safety bumper, and electronic brake. If any hardware-based safety features are triggered, all moving parts of the robots will be stopped immediately and can only be resumed with user intervention. The user will be notified via the app of the safety feature that was triggered. Our robots also cannot be used or moved without verification through logging into the LionsClean app.

Can the robot detect and avoid obstacles and people?

Yes! Our robots perceive the environment with help from an advanced camera system as well as up to 360-degree coverage of data points from LiDAR and depth cameras. With the LionsBot AI system, our robots can perceive surrounding objects, detect, and recognize human and non-human objects,  dangerous environments such as staircases, escalators, uneven floors, and so on. The on-board smart Active Track system is able to understand and track whether obstacles are stationary or moving and predict movement trajectories to allow our robots to perform reactive dynamic obstacle avoidance. With the help of fused sensory information from onboard sensors, our robots are able to detect obstacles as low as 3.9 inches from the ground in their cleaning path. With an accurate detection system and precise navigation control, they can plan an avoidance path closely around obstacles, navigating confidently around them without the risk of impact.

What other measures are employed to secure the robots?

For robot-level security: 1. Wireless communication device is secured with WPA network authentication 2. Robot Processing Unit OS user authentication 3. Robot Processing Unit actively blocks third-party physical port access and networking TCP ports. The robot processing unit only accepts LionsBot-approved controllers designed from LionsBot 4. Robot cloud communication and software OTA updates are managed by LionsBot with dedicated authentication certifications
Via the LionsBot app / dashboard: 1. Identification and authentication through a central service 2. Encryption for data at motion (TLS) and data at rest (AES256) 3. Roles Based Access Control (RBAC) ● Least privileges and separation of duties to segregate user groups ● Administrator control ensures consistency in best practices ● Two Factor Authentication (2FA) is required to access the robot
